This is Sydney. She's an elf. She arrived yesterday, after Margret sent Santa a letter asking for an elf. Santa is letting us keep her for the next week.
This is Kelsey. She's also an elf. Normally she wears elf clothes, but Audrey thought she might enjoy borrowing a Barbie dress to use as a nightgown. I do think she looks stunning. And I doubt you can get good couture in the North Pole.According to Santa, you leave your elves in the kitchen each night with some water and crackers. And you sprinkle them with magic snowflakes. And they come alive at night while you are sleeping. And they do things (apparently elves do not require much sleep, unlike me).
This is what we found in the kitchen this morning. The elves had eaten their crackers, tossed their covers on the floor, gotten a puzzle out of the playroom that they tried to put together, moved boxes around and climbed up on my brand new light fixture (and I'll just take this time to tell you that I will iron the curtains I put up in front of the washer and dryer because our old doors didn't fit once we put in the new floor. I just wanted to see if I liked them first.).Who knows what kind of havoc these two are going to wreak in the next few days. Thank goodness they go back with Santa on Christmas Eve. I'll keep you posted on their adventures.
